Sell the Solution, Not the Product
CinchShare has always focused on educating and training our audience on the best procedures and strategies when it comes to social media marketing and etiquette. We want everyone to grow their business and be super successful which is why we wanted to share a few awesome tips with you today that will help to change your mindset so you sell the solution, not the product!
Post a Solution Selfie!
It’s true, sometimes your products DO sell themselves because they’re that good, but it is always best to put a personal spin on your sales strategy! Instead of thinking – Hey, this ‘such and such’ is absolutely amazing! I’m going to post a company product pic and use their description and everyone will want it! – switch that thought to – Hey, this ‘such and such’ totally helped me when I used it, so I’m going to share my own results with my friends so it can help them too! When you post your personal photos whether it be a before and after or a selfie with your product strategically placed, you can easily increase your chances of making a sale. This isn’t a sneaky way to market your biz, it’s actually extremely honest as you are genuinely sharing how your products have improved your life. It’s a simple and effective method of marketing that will seem way less spammy or pushy and result in more engagement and sales!
Share Product Related Content
This goes along with our 80/20 Rule of content marketing which we believe should be used no matter where you are posting online. Sharing articles and videos (if you record your own that’s even better!) that aren’t directly about your specific products but help to solve a problem where your product can be the solution is the key! How do you create a video without your product, you ask? Well, you actually DO have your product in the video, but you aren’t highlighting it specifically to make a sale. For example, if you are a distributor for essential oils, and someone in your family happens to have a tick embedded (eww, right?), you can create a video tutorial on quick and natural tick removal where you show the bottles of oils but you don’t “sell” them, you are selling the solution! See what we mean? This is bound to be much more effective when your audience can see the actual result and know that YOU are the person who has the knowledge and access to the products they need! The same applies to sharing an article – you can post the article and say that you’ve done this yourself and it really works! This can be used for any product and it is a way of showing that you provide informative and educational content which will keep people coming back to see what value you are offering daily. Everyone loves a good tip, hack or solution!
Expand Your Social Horizons
Social media is ALL about being social and that will never change! With Facebook Live you’re able to get out there and talk to your audience and really show them who you are and share your Why. Go Live in your parties and groups to connect with everyone and share how one of your favorite products has been a remedy to a problem that you’ve had. If you love to write, blogging is another great way to offer solutions – there are a ton of direct sellers who do this successfully every day! You can create short, informational type posts that are 300-500 words (which is actually the standard range for a blog post!) that tie in your products by offering solutions that have worked for you – true, real-life testimonials! People eat those up! You bet that we would buy a product from someone who we followed that went Live or wrote about their experience over a company graphic post that we’ve seen a gazillion times in our newsfeed. That’s a no brainer!
So you see, simply by changing your mindset to “How can I help” rather than “How can I sell” you’ll begin to see amazing results! The top leaders are doing it right and we urge you to follow their lead. Brand yourself, be yourself and share YOUR stories about your products. The more personal, candid and helpful you are, the more successful you will be!
